Smooth Fox
Terrier Breeders
At one time all dogs that dug into the ground to chase foxes were
called Fox Terriers. It was not until 1850 that controlled
breeding began resulting in the breed of today. Each English
county once had its own Fox Terrier. These dogs were once
classic working dogs, but today they are mostly companion dogs.
They can be obstinate and strong willed and they are not easy to
train. They make good watch dogs. Minimal grooming keeps
the smooth coat looking good. These dogs weigh 16 to 18 lbs. and
stand 13-15" at the shoulders. Contact the
dog breeders below for your next family friend.
