German Wirehaired Pointer Breeders

These dogs are very affectionate, active, intelligent and eager to learn.  They are loyal to their family but need a handler who is consistent in their approach.  German Wirehairs like to be occupied and enjoy working, tracking, pointing or retrieving on land or water.  They can become bored and hard to manage without enough exercise.  They like to roam and can be willful.  Their coarse, wiry, water repellent coat is about 2" long and has a thick undercoat which offers protection from brambles.  Groom 2 times a week with a firm bristle brush.  These dogs weigh 60 to 70 lbs. and stand 22-26" at the shoulders.  Contact the dog breeders below for your next family friend.
